Making Lionism More Personal
The objective of the InterClub Relationship Team is to make this world of Lionism a little more personal.
There are two main activities of this team. A very important role for this team is to make personal visits to the other 40 clubs in the Denver area. This has been a tradition for many years and is an integral part of the District Governors Annual Contest. Members within the Club volunteer to provide an "official" visit and attend another club's meeting.
The Clubs that are visited include the Boulder Club in the North to The Douglas County Club located in Castle Rock in the South, East to the Bennett-Watkins Club and the Bailey Club in the West.
Another team assignment is to reach out to Lions beyond the shores of the United States. These activities include education of Denver Den about State and District Conventions, international relief efforts, as well as a sister club in Nagoya, Japan.
The many ways to volunteer
- Spend time on a visitation with other Lions as you travel to another club and find out why that Club is special.
- Volunteer to take exchange students on a Colorado summer outing or donate tickets to a ball game to be used by exchange students.
- Arrange for a child or grandchild to travel to Ecuador for our outbound exchange program
- Be an ambassador for the Lions Club of Denver at a District, State or International Convention.
- Bring ideas and enthusiasm! |
