Membership Development and Retention Team

The Heart of the Club

Introducing new members is a particular delight for Club members.

The Membership Team coordinates the recruitment and retention of Lions members and is responsible for membership promotion, new member orientation and integration, communication of the membership's health and welfare and executes all Denver Den social events.

The Membership Team has many volunteer opportunities available

- Membership Development: Volunteers initiate new ideas to promote membership growth amongst individual members as well as businesses within the community.

- Orientation and Integration: Members act as one-on-one mentors, assisting new Lions to become aquatinted with the many aspects of Lionism.

- Health and Welfare: Volunteers send cards and/or visit sick Lions.

- Social Events: Volunteers help plan, organize and run the club's various social events, such

Promoting the annual Sports Outing in an innovative manner
as holiday parties, the summer picnic, and monthly social mixers. These can be one-time or yearlong opportunities to lend a hand.

As a member, opportunities for business and/or personal networking are complimented by the deep friendships and sense of personal fulfillment that members receive from participating in the Club.

This team's broad stroke includes promoting membership diversity at all times - to be inclusive, not exclusive. The team's approach is to reach out to the community and all underrepresented groups, such as young adults and hope to teach new Lions about the fulfillment and meaning of Lionism.

A "cradle to the grave" focus on membership is vital to the well-being and future of the club. Membership growth is critical to fulfill and carry out our motto "We Serve."
