Introducing the beneficiaries of our hearing task team's efforts.

This team works to organize and coordinate all club volunteerism. This team recruits new leaders where there are vacant positions and creates a volunteer corps for Club volunteer needs. The community service programs of the Denver Den are divided into two areas: one for once-a-year tasks and the other for year-round activities.

Once-a-Year Tasks

- Bell Ringers: volunteer for the Salvation Army at holiday time.

- 9 Health Fair: volunteer workers at the annual Spring Fair, which provides free and low cost health screenings.

- Eisenhower Chapel: volunteers help maintain the non-denominational chapel located in the Denver Club Building, 17th Street and Glenarm Place, in downtown Denver.

- Liberty Day: volunteers assist with a program promoting the knowledge and appreciation of the U.S. Constitution and the American government.

Year-Round Activities

- Glasses for the Masses: volunteers collect used eyeglasses at drop sites, count and deliver them to processing locations for shipment to needy foreign countries.

- Hearing: volunteers involved in providing hearing aids to needy persons.

- Sight: volunteers involved in providing eyeglasses for needy persons.

- KidSight: volunteers who serve at various locations to test children aged one through five for eye problems. Training is provided.

- Social Services: volunteers involved in providing for the various social service needs of individuals and families in the community.

- Youth Services: volunteers involved in conducting Lion school activities and providing leadership to Leo clubs for high school aged girls and boys.
