WANT TO GAIN 160 LBS? BECOME A FOSTER PARENT!

Savio House, A Lions project needs Foster Parents “A hundred years from now it will
not matter what my bank  account was,  the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I
drove…but the world may be different because  I was important in the life of a child.”
—Forrest Witcraft
Savio is looking for foster parents to provide safe and caring homes for children ages 0-18.

Why Be a Foster Parent?
Foster parents are critical in the lives of children who require either short term or permanent placement outside the home of their parents. These children need a protective and healthy home when their own home is no longer safe. Savio is looking for foster parents who can love, nurture and appropriately care for children.

Many people enjoy being parents and this is an opportunity to carry on what you so much like to do. In addition foster parents receive a tax exempt reimbursement for their services. If your heart is in the right place, this can be a rewarding path.

Types of Foster Care
+Traditional foster care serves the majority of children who need a home with minimal to moderate emotional needs. These assignments can be a single child or infant, a sibling group or a teen mother with a child. Depending on the size of the home, a foster parent can serve up to 4 children. Reimbursement is based on the needs of the child, but generally runs between $600 and $900 per month per child. 

+Therapeutic foster care is for children with higher mental health needs and homes can generally take no more than 1 or 2 children. There is a careful matching process to assess the needs of the child and to make sure that any services that are needed for the child are in place prior to them moving into the foster home. Rates of reimbursement run from $2,000 to $2,800 per month per child.
